If only everything in life came with a handy dandy wrist strap...

We are now the proud owners of a Wii. My big splurge item was My Word Coach, which is already helping me make my vocabulary... a lot bigger. Learning to use the Wii controller is taking a lot of getting used to, and sometimes I get frustrated because I can't show what I know as I am slowed down by the goofy-ass controller. However, I am finding that I am a much better bowler and table tennis player in the land of virtual reality, so that's pretty great. Since becoming an adult, and, therefore, spending all of my free time doing adult-like things, I had forgotten what a nerdy love I have for video games. I should be using this time to organize my teaching bags (which are a disaster) or FINALLY reading some of the books my TV TIP coach has passed on to me, or wedding planning, but I really just want to sit around playing video games all day. And so I will.
